What data we collect through this website, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are.
The controller of personal data is Minev, Aleksieva & Serafimova Law Firm, 28 Preslav Str., 2nd floor, offices 12 and 13, 6300 Haskovo, Bulgaria, e-mail ivan@minev.bg.
“Describe your case” form. The description of your case, your answers to the clarifying questions, the documents you attach, your name, phone number and, optionally, your e-mail. We use them to assess the case and to contact you about a consultation. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a legal services agreement and, for documents with sensitive content, your explicit consent.
E-mail and phone. If you write to us or call us, we use your details only to reply to you.
Technical data. When a form is sent we record the IP address and time to prevent abuse. The website does not use cookies. For visit statistics we use our own counter on our server: we record the page visited, where the visit came from (search engine, ad, another website), the device type and the date. The IP address is not stored — an anonymous code valid only for that day is calculated from it and the browser, so you cannot be recognised on another day. This data is not shared with third parties and is kept for 13 months.
Third-party content. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts and, on the contacts page, an embedded Google Maps map. When these load, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
The clarifying questions in the “Describe your case” form are generated by artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic). Only the text of the conversation is sent to it, not the attached documents. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models and keeps it for a limited time for security purposes. Anthropic is based in the United States, so the text of the conversation is transferred outside the EU. The assistant does not give legal advice: its only task is to tell you which documents to prepare. Every case is reviewed by an attorney.
The attorneys of the firm and staff bound by professional secrecy under the Bulgarian Bar Act. Data is not disclosed to third parties, except to the providers who technically operate the website and e-mail (hosting in Bulgaria) and to Anthropic for the text of the conversation with the assistant. We do not sell or share data for marketing.
Documents attached through the website are deleted automatically from the server 30 days after they are sent. If you become our client, documents and correspondence are kept in the case file for the periods required by the Bar Act and tax legislation. If you do not become our client, we delete your description and data within 6 months of the enquiry.
You have the right of access to your data, to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object. You can withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise your rights, write to ivan@minev.bg. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg).
